My training is in in-depth psychotherapy which differs from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (changing your behaviour) or short-term therapy. Rather, we take our time to explore the underlying and often unconscious reasons for behaviours and unhelpful beliefs that are getting in the way of a happier and more satisfying life.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy assumes that we have an unconscious aspect of our minds that we cannot easily access on our own, but which determines the patterns and repetitions that we would like to change.
As a therapist, I can help you to recognize these patterns and to experience change in safe increments and subtle shifts.
Usually we meet at least once a week for 55 minutes.
Psychotherapy is not covered by OHIP, but some insurance companies cover some of the cost.
